Just seen this interesting article on BBC Technology web page:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/5263108.stm

"Arrays of thousands of tiny "super prisms" controlled by robotic muscles
could bring real colour to TV screens for the first time, scientists say.
The devices, known as electrically tunable diffraction gratings, have been
built by researchers in Switzerland.
They manipulate light to reproduce the full spectrum of colours on screen,
impossible using existing technology."

Might be while before a practical display emerges but must be an exciting
development.

Hugh
ps I shall be at IBC and if anyone fancies meeting up for a drink I'll be
stopping off at the IBC bar occasionally to do some 'notworking' (like
networking but much more fun).
