the best picture I ever saw from a telecine was from a Millenium 2.   
I had been
working with Spirits for many years and then walked into a room where  
I could
work with a Millenium 2 and I said to myself "what have I been  
missing all these
years!"   A tube machine in good shape has something a CCD machine  
lacks in
"depth" or "perspective" and I can't explain it.     However,.......  
there is a tradeoff
in maintenance, in my humble opinion.
