my experience with pal has been somewhat different. having spent several
weeks in the UK for rank training, i was disappointed to find that pal
still flickered. after an evening well enjoyed at a local pub however,
the flickering stopped. apparently two pints was the magic number to
quell the annoyance. this brought me to the conclusion that 2 pints are
required in england to compensate for the scanning system and, 2 pints
are required here in the states to compensate for the content.
