incidentally, in 1992 or so I had two identical pairs of glasses
made, Armani frames with glass lenses.   they lasted ten years
between the two of them, and though they were heavy and
expensive, I think they were worth it, as they had the spring-
loaded earpieces (that spring back and forth) and first-rate glass,
that never changed color on me, though they were coated.
