yup ;-)

Google's ad program is one of the best out there, because it's 
*highly* contextual. that is, the ads they serve are based on the 
content of the page in which the ad appears, which in turn means that 
they can generally make more money than other advertisers because the 
ads are relevant to the interests of the viewers (eg: no ads for 
viagra on a web site that caters to 15 year olds...). Also, google's 
text based ads are really unobtrusive compared to most image-based 
advertisements because they're primarily text links.

if you want an example of a site that has tremendous ongoing growth, 
millions and millions of eyeballs looking at it day in and day out, 
and tons of highly irritating advertisements (which don't seem to be 
driving anyone away), look no further than MySpace.
