Whilst we're on a New Year 'nostalga' kick, I've been looking at some
FIlm Restoration recommendations. A defect to be corrected for, in the
report I've been
reading, is 'Twin Lens Telecine Flicker'

My guess is that there isn't a single (sic) Twin Lens Telecine out there
anymore

Does anyone want to prove me wrong? - or at least establish when the last
one was pensioned off?

Well folks, you keep kicking my memory into gear.
I think it was the IVC 9000 that was partly designed and built at Rank
Cintel, before my time there,
but we had several kicking around for years. Cintel was one of the IVC
consortium.
Unfortunately for Rank Cintel Sony came along very quickly with their 1" C
format and that was it for the IVC machine.
However the ghost of that machine only faded away when Cintel stopped
making Ursa; look at the cabinent of MKIIIs
and to a lesser extent Ursas, all based on the IVC9000 cabinet!
Now here in the UK Mike Waldie (Video Engineering) used to have a store of
these IVC machines, don't know if he
still does, but I remember him taking the last set of bits away from Cintel
in the mid 1990's.
